The sun, the swings, and the sponsors all came together for another fantastic year at the Greater Arvada Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament! This year’s tournament teed off at a brand-new location, Indian Tree Golf Club, and the new course made for a beautiful backdrop for a great day of golf. From the first goodie bag stuffed at 7:15 AM to the final putt sunk before lunch, this year’s tournament brought together local businesses, community leaders, and golf enthusiasts for a morning of friendly competition and Arvada spirit.
Kicking Off the Day
The morning began bright and early at the club house, where golfers built their own goodie bags, grabbed a breakfast burrito and drink ticket, browsed “improve your game” sales, and warmed up with range balls before hitting the course. At 8:00 AM sharp, the shotgun start sent every foursome off to their assigned holes to begin the round.
As golfers made their way around the course, they were treated to a free beer courtesy of Odyssey Beerwerks, or a cocktail courtesy of Method & Muse Spirits.
Prize Holes and On-Course Fun
Several holes along the course hosted contests that had golfers bringing their A-game- congratulations to all our winners!
- Hole #4 – Women’s Longest Putt: Mollige Gilligan, with an impressive 5 feet 8 inches
- Hole #8 – Men’s Closest to the Pin: Bryan Archer
- Hole #9 – Men’s Longest Drive: Braden Baer
- Hole #11 – Women’s Closest to the Pin: Lenka Juchelkova
- Hole #12 – Ball Launcher, sponsored by Kokoro: Dan Newstrand
- Hole #15 – Women’s Longest Drive: Mayor Lauren Simpson
- Hole #18 – Men’s Longest Putt: Nathan Batchelder, with a huge 34-foot putt
And the Team Champions Are…
After 18 holes of competitive (and fun) golf, the teams headed to the clubhouse for lunch, the trophy presentation, and contest winner announcements. Here’s how the leaderboard shook out:
1st Place: The TRN 2nd Place: Professional Construction Services 3rd Place: Meritrust Credit Union 4th Place: Schomburg Insurance
It’s worth noting that 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place actually ended in a three-way tie! Final placement came down to tie-breaker holes, making for an exciting finish to the day. Congratulations to all four teams on a well-played round.
