Apply to Join Arvada Chamber KAPS Councils to Tackle Business Challenges

November 21, 2022

The Arvada Chamber is thrilled to announce that applications are open to join three KAPS Councils designed to help the Chamber’s mission to tackle top business challenges. KAPS stands for Kick-Ass Problem Solvers. These groups of business and community leaders are brought together to work diligently toward an aligned outcome that will solve a persistent problem.

The three KAPS Councils with open positions are Advocacy, Talent, and Member Services. Members will attend monthly meetings and contribute to tactics led by the Arvada Chamber. Applications for each are due by January 9, 2023.

Additionally, the Arvada Chamber recently announced the roster of the DEI+B KAPS Council. Read that announcement here.

In early 2023, the Chamber will also launch three additional KAPS Councils around entrepreneurship, housing, and childcare as part of its B.O.L.D. 2026 initiative. Read about the work of those groups below.

Entrepreneurship KAPS Council

Vision: We will enhance our ability to provide direct one-on-one support to individual businesses throughout their respective life cycles, and broaden collective support to all businesses based or operating in Arvada and Jefferson / Adams Counties. Through the Entrepreneurship KAPS Council, we will identify and implement programs and resources that ensure businesses can stay, grow and thrive.

Housing KAPS Council

Vision: The workers we have and need in our region on a daily basis should be able to live here. Workers across the income spectrum – from teachers and firemen to hospitality and tech workers – should be able to find income-aligned housing within reasonable proximity to work. To achieve this end, we need accommodative public policy and direct action. Through the Housing KAPS Council, the Chamber will convene key regional stakeholders and businesses, and catalyze a program that solves this problem.

Childcare KAPS Council

Vision: Affordable childcare offerings within reasonable proximity to home and work are essential for our community and economy to thrive. To achieve this end, we need accommodative public policy and direct action. Through the Childcare KAPS Council, the Chamber will convene businesses and stakeholders, and catalyze a program that solves this problem.
