Community Builders Spotlight: Jennifer James, Jen James Real Estate

July 29, 2026

At the Greater Arvada Chamber, we know when we build bridges, businesses grow stronger, communities become more resilient, and the local economy works better for everyone. This month, the Inclusion & Belonging KAPS Council is proud to spotlight Jennifer James, Broker-Owner of Jen James Real Estate, whose passion for connection helps people find not just a home, but a true sense of belonging in Arvada.

Through Jen James Real Estate, Jennifer helps buyers and sellers throughout Arvada and the greater Denver metro area navigate one of life’s biggest decisions with confidence, clarity, and honest guidance. She is also the co-founder of Differential Coaching, where she empowers real estate professionals and business owners to build intentional, sustainable businesses through education, coaching, and community-based learning.

Building Community Through Connection

For Jennifer, community starts with relationships.

Whether she’s helping clients discover the neighborhoods and local businesses that make Arvada unique or creating opportunities for entrepreneurs to connect, her work is centered on bringing people together. One of her proudest accomplishments is helping grow Arvada Women Entrepreneurs, a thriving network that has evolved from a simple idea into a community where women-owned businesses collaborate, learn, and champion one another.

Through Differential Coaching, Jennifer has also developed educational programs and mastermind-style learning opportunities that help real estate professionals strengthen their businesses while raising the level of service across the industry.

Still, Jennifer believes some of the greatest successes happen in everyday moments.

“Introducing two business owners who end up collaborating, helping a new agent feel less alone, seeing a client fall in love with a neighborhood, or watching someone leave an event with new connections, those small wins stack up into something really meaningful,” Jennifer shared.

Those moments reflect the lasting impact of community-building: creating opportunities for people to feel seen, supported, and connected.

Creating Places Where People Belong

Jennifer’s passion for community stems from her own experiences growing up.

“I moved a lot as a kid, so I learned early how important it is to find your people and create a sense of home wherever you are,” she said. “I know what it feels like to walk into a new place and wonder where you fit. I also know the power of someone making space for you, inviting you in, and helping you feel like you belong.”

She describes herself as a natural connector, always thinking about who should meet, what resources could help someone, or where new opportunities might emerge.

If Jennifer had a magic wand, she would create even more intentional connections between residents, local businesses, nonprofits, schools, city leaders, and community organizations.

“I would love to see more bridges between those circles,” Jennifer said. “Community building doesn’t always require something big. Invite someone. Share a post. Attend an event. Make an introduction. Buy from a local business. Check on your neighbor. Those small actions matter.”

For Jennifer, community building isn’t separate from her business—it’s the foundation of it.

“At the end of the day, homes matter, but so do the people, businesses, parks, events, and relationships around them. That’s what makes a community feel like home.”
