- Manufacturer’s Edge: Clarification on State and Local COVID-19 Public Health and Safety Orders
Colorado Governor Jared Polis, local officials, and their staff are working tirelessly to reduce the spread of COVID-19 across the state and have issued “stay-at-home” and reduction of in-person workforce orders. “Essential businesses” are allowed to continue to operate. While we cannot provide you legal advice, based on our reading of the orders and the instructions we have received from the State, most manufacturers fall under the essential business category. The State has set up an official self-certification form called the Social Distancing Self-Certification Form for Business form for essential businesses. According to the State, this is the only form you need to be officially designated as “essential” and, thus, exempt from the stay-at-home orders in the state and in your county. Complete the form and have it readily available in hard copy should any government or law enforcement official ask for it.- Please email info@manufacturersedge.com or call/text their helpline at 720.647.3766 to be connected to someone who can help. Available to all businesses, not just manufacturers.
