Hope Connection and Community
Site Sponsor: ALC Property Maintenance

Creating change, positively impacting lives and empowering independence for families and children through community programs. Learn More.

Project 1: This project would be an opportunity to complete some laundry, organize children’s clothing and prepare them for our families to come and collect when needed. Light laundry and organizing.

Project 2: This project would be an opportunity to help with winterizing our community garden. This would include cleaning out our garden boxes, raking leafs and any other light needs within our garden. No special skills needed for this project. Just some elbow grease and not being afraid of getting a little dirt on their hands.

A Precious Child

A Precious Child, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2008, provides essential resources and opportunities to children and families in need across eight Denver Metro counties, helping every child reach their full potential through cradle to career programming. Learn More.

Project 1: Donation Center – Help us process in-kind donations, particularly clothing items, sorting them by type and size, conducting a quality check, and placing goods onto hangers so they’re ready to be stocked into our Resource Center.

Project 2: Empowerment Resource Center Store – Keep our shopping area well-stocked and organized so families have a dignified space to find the items they need to support their families. Volunteers may also assist at the check-out stations to bag up items for families to take home – all of which are distributed free of charge!

Mirror Image Arts

We are a Youth Advocacy organization disrupting the Pipeline to Prison through Restorative Theatre. We bring Restorative Theatre™ to youth and youth serving adults in schools, community organizations, and detention centers. We create spaces of healing and belonging while deepening social emotional well-being. Our work is the collective liberation of all. Learn More.

Project: The windows in our center create a lot of heat and we don’t have air conditioning. Volunteers would measure, cut, and install the tint. This is a DIY project. Additionally, when we did our renovation, we did not tackle the stairwell leading down to the rest of the building. I’d like to paint the stairwell, paint the railing. It’s a bit tricky because the ceiling is pretty high.
