Greater Arvada Chamber Launches Free Work-Based Learning Online Training for Businesses

October 20, 2025

October 20, 2025 – ARVADA, CO – Today, the Greater Arvada Chamber is proud to announce the launch of its new Work-Based Learning Online Training, a comprehensive, free digital program designed to empower businesses of all sizes to implement or expand work-based learning (WBL) initiatives effectively.

As workforce dynamics shift and employers strive to build stronger talent pipelines, this new training offers a practical, accessible pathway for organizations to embed hands-on learning opportunities, such as internships, job shadowing, apprenticeships, and other WBL modalities, into their operations.

Why This Training Matters
Work-based learning bridges classroom knowledge and real world skills. It gives participants authentic experience while enabling employers to shape and cultivate talent aligned with their needs.

The training offers templates, links to resources and information in one place, saving businesses time and money. With the training, businesses receive key information so they can make informed decisions about providing a WBL program. Businesses can offer the training to multiple staff, creating an opportunity for cross-training.

With the business’ permission, the Chamber can also highlight which businesses took the training with key providers, like school districts and community colleges, strengthening partnerships across the education to workforce pipeline

What the Online Training Includes

  • A free 1-hour online training for businesses (available for 45 days after registration)
  • Provides key information in one place for businesses to start or formalize their work-based learning program. Learn the benefits of providing WBL programming and which type of programming is best for your business.
  • Receive a guide for launching or formalizing a program

Spots are Limited! The training is currently open to businesses that work in Jefferson and Adams Counties and/or are connected to the Greater Arvada Chamber. We recommend businesses take the training three or more months before they want to offer programming.

How to Get Started
Businesses and organizations interested in the training can learn more and register to access the course via the Chamber’s website at arvadachamber.org/wbl.

The Chamber is available to offer onboarding and continued regional support for WBL program implementation. Have questions? Contact Jess Fuller, Sr. Director of Economic Impact at jess@arvadachamber.org.
