For more than five decades, Platinum Creations has been helping businesses bring their brands to life through high-quality printing and signage, all while staying deeply rooted in the Arvada community.
Founded 52 years ago in the basement of Faith Bible Chapel, Platinum Creations has grown into a full-service print and sign company serving businesses across the region. Today, the company is proudly owned by Joe Spelic, who stepped into ownership after years of working closely with the previous owner. That continuity has allowed Platinum Creations to maintain its legacy while continuing to evolve with the needs of modern businesses.
Platinum Creations offers a comprehensive range of services, including custom printing, graphic design, signage construction and repair, vehicle wraps, and direct mail campaigns, all handled in-house. What truly sets them apart is their ability to be a one-stop shop: whether a business needs to wrap a company truck, design marketing materials, repair existing signage, or manage a custom mailing, Platinum Creations can handle it from start to finish.

The team at Platinum Creations includes eight full-time staff members, each contributing to the company’s reputation for reliability, craftsmanship, and personalized service. While many print and sign services are now available online, Joe notes that this shift has only reinforced the value of working with a local partner who understands the community and provides hands-on support.
“Many people think that printing is dying, but statistics actually show it growing especially in the area of direct mail campaigns,” said Joe.
When asked what advice he would give new entrepreneurs in Arvada, Joe keeps it simple: “Keep at it. Don’t get discouraged. Get connected to those in your community.” That philosophy aligns closely with what he values most about the Arvada business community: people want to do business with people, not faceless online portals. Time and again, Joe hears from business owners who prefer working with local companies, especially fellow Greater Arvada Chamber members.
Joe’s favorite business read, The Five Dysfunctions of a Team by Patrick Lencioni, reflects his belief in strong teams and healthy collaboration. That mindset carries over into his experience with the Chamber, where he’s found tremendous value in meeting people who share a common goal: making Arvada a better place to live and do business.
