WOW 1 DAY PAINTING has been serving the Arvada area for four years. Owner Amy Van Wanseele and her team chose to establish the business here because it’s home. “We live in this community and wanted to provide an exceptional painting experience to our friends and neighbors,” Amy explains.
WOW 1 DAY PAINTING handles residential and commercial interior/exterior painting—essentially, any surface that needs a professional coating. What makes the company unique is its team-based approach to reduce project timelines and minimize disruption. Amy also proudly champions women in the painting industry, an area traditionally dominated by men.
What inspired you to enter the painting industry?
“I quit my Corporate America job after 25 years and started a franchise. I picked WOW because of their business model and robust backend systems. I knew the system would take care of itself, and I could focus on growing the business. The best part of my job is hearing a happy homeowner say “WOW” when we are all done.”
Tell us about your team.
“I have Cori, our WOW Admin, and three teams of painters we can mix and match as needed to complete the job on time.”
What lessons have you learned as a business owner?
“Have a thick skin, never let a customer see you rattled, and be sure to laugh at yourself through the process. Owning a business is tough, but so are you!”
How has your industry changed in recent years?
“The construction industry is hit hard by the current economy including managing tariff pricing and supply chain issues. Prices are rising and most of the time people do not understand how expensive a project can be.”
What are some common misconceptions about painting?
“People think painting is easy and anyone can do it. But if you want crisp cut lines and pristine walls, you need a professional.”

“7 Habits of Highly Effective People” by Stephen Covey.
What value has the Greater Arvada Chamber brought to your business?
“The relationships I have built through the Chamber are some of my most valued relationships. I have connected with amazing trade partners, vendors, and made some really stellar friends that will be in my life for a long time.”
What is your life motto?
“You can’t make everyone happy. You’re not a taco.”
