ABOUT THE BEE
The Greater Arvada Chamber is partnering with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation to host a nonpartisan civics competition that encourages young Americans to engage in civics and contribute to their communities. Participating 6th, 7th and 8th graders will flex their civics knowledge for a chance to win recognition and cash prizes. Finalists will be invited to Washington, DC to compete in the National Civics Bee National Championship in Fall 2026.
ABOUT THE LIVE EVENT
Local middle schoolers will be selected by a panel of community-based judges to compete in a live competition at Revive Church, testing their civics knowledge. The winners (and their schools) will be recognized in their communities and receive cash prizes, the top three students will also proceed to the state competition!
This event is free to attend! This year, attendees can also play along with the contestants from their phone with our Audience Quiz. Join us on April 24 to celebrate civic engagement and knowledge amongst the future leaders of Arvada.

Middle school students from Arvada-area schools competed in the 2025 National Civics Bee regional competition on May 1 at Revive Church. The event was hosted by the Greater Arvada Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Colorado Chamber of Commerce and the Civic Trust of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation. Read more.
We are currently looking for partners and sponsors for the live event to be held in May that will bring together the top 20 essay winners, local families, and community members to celebrate these students’ commitment to their community and education.

The National Civics Bee takes place in partnership with local and state chambers of commerce across the United States, including the Greater Arvada Chamber of Commerce. 16 local middle schoolers have been selected by a panel of community-based judges to compete in a live competition at Revive Church, testing their civics knowledge.
