Arvada Chamber Releases Employer Housing Toolkit at HR Cohort Kick-Off Event

December 15, 2023

The Arvada Chamber is thrilled to announce the Employer Housing Toolkit, a new resource for local small businesses through the B.O.L.D. 2026 initiative. This toolkit provides insights, strategies, and resources for employers to improve hiring and retention of top talent by increasing access to income-aligned housing within a reasonable proximity to work for their employees. The toolkit explores how to build context and awareness, build programs and partnerships, and advocate for and invest in income-aligned housing initiatives. Learn more and download the housing toolkit here.

To celebrate the release of the Employer Housing Toolkit, the Arvada Chamber hosted a Human Resource Professionals Cohort kick-off at Barber-Nichols on Monday, December 11. The event hosted nine HR leaders from diverse businesses across the Arvada region. Going beyond traditional networking, the HR Cohort offers a platform for the exchange of ideas, implementation of emerging practices, and leadership in revolutionizing HR strategies. Please look for more information and outcomes from this cohort in 2024.

Additionally, West + Main Homes and West Way Lending shared information on the Home Perks Program available through their business. This program is a no cost program that employers can use to help their employees access homeownership. Want to learn more? Contact Jackie Weinhold or Molly Manley for more information!

As part of its B.O.L.D. 2026 initiative, the Chamber will continue to evaluate housing supply, relative to onsite jobs, with the intent of making policy recommendations that improve the volume of workforce housing in zip codes where real-time supply of income-aligned housing does not meet employer needs. Learn more at arvadachamber.org/housing.
