Effective January 1, 2023, Colin Ferro will assume the position of Executive Director after a unanimous vote by the Board of Directors. Founder Nancy Ferro will step down from her 10 years as Executive Director but will remain passionately involved with Epic Experience’s mission of empowering adult cancer survivors to live beyond cancer.
Colin Ferro came to work for Epic Experience in 2014 and most recently has held the title of Director of Programs. His passion for the organization and the entire cancer community has grown year after year. He has been a driving force with two new programs in particular: the Campfires of Hope podcast and ThriveVR. He credits Nancy for preparing him through her leadership and mentorship to take on this role and ensure a smooth transition. Colin’s enthusiasm will lead Epic Experience forward to its next phase of growth and development.
Nancy Ferro shared, “I am just a mom of a cancer survivor who started something out of passion that has fortunately made a difference in the lives of cancer survivors. I owe a huge thanks to all who helped this organization from its inception, to the volunteers throughout the years who have given selflessly of their time and treasure supporting the mission and providing me with the motivation and encouragement these past 10 years.”
