As the first step of this initiative, the consulting firm performed a comprehensive cultural assessment with internal constituents as well as its membership to understand cultural, structural, and leadership gaps as well as opportunities for development.

Bob and Teri Workman started CertaPro Painters of Arvada 12 years ago in 2009. Bob had previously worked on the manufacturing side with Coca-Cola for 20 years before he was let go. Not wanting to leave Colorado, the Workmans started running the CertaPro franchise out of their home. Bob handled the estimating and sales; Teri ran the office. Now with office space and double the employee count, the ten-year Arvada Chamber members have painted a successful small business story.
“I wish I had done this 20 years ago,” laughs Bob. We talked to the CertaPro owners about starting a business with your partner, generating great reviews, and painting houses in the work-from-home era.
“As we build back better, it’s great to see Colorado workers get a decent raise on the minimum wage to $12.56/hour as our state builds an economy that works for everybody,” said Governor Polis. “Investing in upskilling to help workers have the skills needed to earn much more than minimum wage is one of our top priorities, so Colorado can continue to be a place where everyone can thrive.”

The Public Relations Student Society of America hosted a competition this past year which challenged student teams to implement a public relations campaign centered on enhancing civility in their community.
The 2021 Bateman Case Study Competition received 54 entries. We are joined on the podcast by leaders from the top two entries to discuss why promoting civility is critical for your employees and customers and tactics you should employ today.
In 2020, Tara launched Nature’s Reveal Photography, which combines her life-long passion for photography and the ranch, a unique, interactive backdrop for her sessions. Nature’s Reveal specializes in family portraits, senior portraits, maternity shoots, newborn baby sessions, and event photography.
