Find the Right Career and Program with Career Coach

Choosing a career is one of the toughest decisions an individual can make. Today’s job seekers not only need to understand how to start on a career path but also when and how to pivot to another pathway. Currently, we know of many systems that tell you all about the available jobs but can be difficult to navigate with minimal direction on where to start on your career journey.

When we discovered Career Coach, through Lightcast, it was a no-brainer to introduce the system to our partners in Jefferson County! Career Coach offers career seekers (and explorers) an opportunity to quickly understand career opportunities that align with their personality. The program also connects users to companies that are hiring for those roles and programs that are offered for upskilling support if needed. The other additional great benefit is that we can narrow the view down to simply Jefferson County and the Denver Metro area!

Users are able to take a 6-question assessment or a 60-question assessment which will then identify top industries and roles that may be a best match. The questions are engaging and quick, so there is no need to overthink. In a recent meeting with the Jeffco Public Schools Career Links team, they all took the assessment and each of them was aligned to their current career after taking the 6-question assessment. Since this meeting, the Career Links team has leveraged the platform to support their Career Hubs and parents who are helping students on their career paths.

We are thrilled that Career Coach has been accessed by over 400 users since we introduced it to Jeffco Public Schools this year. Our plan is to continue leveraging this platform with additional stakeholders in the county who support career seekers and continue to support adding verified programs into the system.

If you are curious to see if you align with your current position, want to share with someone about to enter the career force, or are still in the process of figuring out what you want to be when you grow up, please check out Career Coach HERE.
